Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Surya Homestay, we understand that plans can change. Our Cancellation & Refund Policy is designed to be as fair and transparent as possible, while also considering the costs involved in preparing for your stay. Please read this policy carefully before making a reservation.

1. Cancellation Policy

  1. Standard Cancellations:

    • Cancellations made 15 days or more before the check-in date: Full refund of the amount paid, excluding any transaction or processing fees.
    • Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days before the check-in date: 50% of the total booking amount will be refunded.
    • Cancellations made within 7 days of the check-in date: No refund will be provided.
  2. No-Show Policy:

    • If a guest does not check in on the scheduled arrival date without prior notice, the booking will be considered a no-show. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
  3. Early Departure:

    • If a guest decides to leave before the end of their booked stay, no refund will be given for the unused nights.
  4. Force Majeure:

    • In the event of cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics), we will issue a credit voucher for the amount paid, valid for a future stay within [6-12] months from the original booking date, instead of a cash refund.
  5. Group Bookings:

    • For group bookings (3 or more rooms), cancellations made 30 days or more before the check-in date will receive a full refund, minus any applicable transaction fees. Cancellations made within 30 days will follow the same policy as standard cancellations.

2. Modification Policy

  1. Changes to Booking Dates:

    • Date changes are subject to availability and can be requested up to 7 days before the original check-in date. No changes will be allowed within 7 days of the check-in date.
    • Any change in dates may result in a price adjustment based on the new dates requested.
  2. Name Changes:

    • Name changes on a reservation can be made up to 3 days prior to check-in. After this time, no modifications will be accepted.

3. Refund Policy

  1. Refund Process:

    • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7-14 business days of receiving a valid cancellation request.
    • Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used during booking. If payment was made by credit/debit card, refunds will be processed to the same card.
  2. Non-Refundable Amounts:

    • Any non-refundable amounts (such as transaction fees or booking fees) will be deducted from the refund amount.
  3. Bank Charges & Fees:

    • Any bank charges or payment gateway fees incurred during the refund process will be borne by the guest and deducted from the refundable amount.

4. How to Cancel Your Booking

  1. Online Cancellation:

    • To cancel your booking, please visit our website and log in to your account. Navigate to the ‘My Bookings’ section and follow the instructions to cancel.
  2. Email or Phone Cancellation:

    • You can also request a cancellation by emailing us at suryahomestayofficial@gmail.com or calling us at +91 74781 62584. Please include your booking reference number and details of your reservation.
  3. Confirmation of Cancellation:

    • Once your cancellation request has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your refund, if applicable.

5. Special Conditions

  1. Promotional Bookings:

    • Bookings made under promotional offers or discount codes may be subject to different cancellation and refund policies, as specified during the promotion.
  2. Travel Insurance:

    • We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unforeseen changes to your travel plans.
