• Where is Surya Homestay located?

  Surya Homestay is situated in the peaceful village of Mim Tea Estate, approximately 24 kilometers from the center of Darjeeling, West Bengal. It’s nestled amidst lush tea gardens and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

• How do I get to Surya Homestay?

  You can travel to Surya Homestay either via a shared taxi or private taxi. 
  If you are travelling in a shared taxi you need to go to the Darjeeling town bus stand and get to Sukhia Pokhari cab which will cost 70 rupees each. It will take up to 40 minutes to reach to Sukhia Pokhri. Then you can go to Mim Tea Estate either on a shared taxi which is limited due to the rural area or book a cab(available in homestay). Then you will need to get off at the first village near School Ground.

  If you are travelling in a private car then you will need to drive approx. 24km away from town to Sukhia Pokhari and go downhill with the sign board of Mim tea garden, just before we reach Sukhia Bazar.

  Note: As it is a rural area the roads are in bad condition, We suggest you book a cab at least down the village road.  Or you can book a direct can from Darjeeling to homestay.

• What are the check-in and check-out times at Surya Homestay?

  Check-in time at Surya Homestay is from 1:00 PM, and check-out is until 11:00 AM

• How can I reach Surya Homestay from Siliguri Airport / NJP?

  f you are travelling via a shared taxi you will need to reach to Darjeeling More, where you will find a local taxi. You have to travel in Sukhia Pokhari vehicles via Mirik which will be more convenient for you, then you will need to book a cab (available via homestay) to go downhill to Mim Tea Estate or travel in shared taxi, which is limited due to the rural area. Then you will need to get off at the first village near School Ground.

  If you are travelling via private car then will need go to Darjeeling More and travel to Sukhia Pokhari via Mirik. Then you will need to go downhill with the sign board of Mim tea garden, just before we reach Sukhia Bazar.
